Responsibilities at
Fort Dearborn

Kevin founded Fort Dearborn in 1990 and currently is responsible for developing and maintaining key client relationships throughout the country. His responsibilities include executing all aspects of transactions from initiation to completion.

He heads the firm's Food Processing and Distribution groups.

Advisory Experience

In his 30 year investment banking career, Kevin has served as lead financial advisor on over 100 sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition transactions, several of which included raising debt and equity capital to facilitate the transaction. Kevin's capital markets experience is equally extensive including assisting early stage and growth companies in raising equity capital, serving as financial advisor on initial public offerings, and refinancing and restructuring of senior and subordinated debt capital for distressed companies.

Past Affiliations and Civic Memberships

Kevin began his professional career at Grant Thornton where he most recently was Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Corporate Finance practice. He left in 1990 to found Fort Dearborn. Kevin is on the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Industry Expertise

Kevin leads FDA's Food Processing and Distribution groups. In addition, Kevin's transactional experience covers a wide range of industries across the middle market. He serves on the board of Eby-Brown and Kehe Foods, Inc.

Academic Credentials

Kevin earned a BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant.
