History
Fort Dearborn was founded in 1990 by senior investment banking and consulting professionals with a belief that middle market companies deserve the same Wall Street-level service as Fortune 500 companies. Since that time we have advised hundreds of public and private companies and private equity groups in selling business units and entire companies. We have also raised capital, from senior debt to growth equity, for hundreds of clients.
Since our founding we have remained true to our principals of building long-term relationships and providing independent advice to our clients. Our motto: "From Relationships to Results", speaks to our commitment to put our clients' interests first.
We have embraced the dramatic changes the investment banking industry has seen over the past few decades to enable us to provide world-class service to our clients.
As examples, we use leading databases for transaction information, potential acquirer searches, data room management, and transaction tracking and reporting. These tools are the same as those used at the largest firms on Wall Street and they enhance our capabilities to complete the most favorable transaction possible for our clients.
