Global Practice
In 2007, foreign companies invested over $400 billion to acquire US-based companies, a 93% increase over 2006. This trend of foreign investment in the US is likely to continue.
We have organized Fort Dearborn's investment banking practice to ensure that we give our clients access to this global flow of capital by identifying and contacting potential acquirers from around the world. As a result, potential investors from many countries actively participate in nearly every transactions we undertake. For example, in the past year potential acquirers from outside of the United States were actively involved in analyzing over 80% of our completed transactions.
