Responsibilities at
Fort Dearborn

David is a junior member of transaction teams with deal execution responsibilities. His specific responsibilities include preparing financial analysis, valuation, industry research, due diligence and client presentation materials.

Advisory Experience

David has assisted in the execution of financing and merger and acquisition engagements for a variety of privately-held companies ranging in size up to nearly $1 billion in revenue.

Past Affiliations and Civic Memberships

Prior to joining Fort Dearborn, David was a Senior Auditor for Deloitte primarily focusing on financial and Sarbanes-Oxley audits for SEC and privately-held clients. He has also worked as a Credit Analyst at JP Morgan Chase in the Middle Market lending division where he assessed credit risk and assisted in structuring credit facilities.

Industry Expertise

Mr. Zobrist has eight years of professional experience with a variety of manufacturing and distribution clients. Recently was recently on a team that successfully refinanced a food distribution company and prior to that he assisted in the sale of a manufacturer of food products. He also was a valuable team member on the sale of an automotive parts supplier. Over his career, David has developed deep expertise in the food manufacturing and distribution industries.

Academic Credentials

David received his Bachelors degree in Economics and Spanish from Wabash College and completed his Accounting education at Loyola University in Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed CPA in Illinois. Mr. Zobrist recently passed the Level I Chartered Financial Analyst Exam.
