Fort Dearborn publishes February 2009 Distressed Company Monitor

Chicago, Illinois - March 11, 2009

Maintaining its position as thought leaders in each of its industry segments, Fort Dearborn Advisors recently published the February issue of the Distressed Company Monitor. This issue of the Distressed Company Monitor highlights the current status of the U.S. and select global economies and in particular discusses trends in the unemployment rate, annual changes in GDP, credit card charge offs and housing prices, among other items.

The report concludes that while there are some bright spots in the near-term outlook, 2009 will likely be a difficult year for most countries' economies and business owners should manage their businesses appropriately. In the report we list early warnings signs of distress that Fort Dearborn Partners, our profit improvement consulting firm, frequently encounters.

Fort Dearborn Advisors' Special Situation Group published Distressed Company Monitor periodically. Future issues may address specific advice we frequently provide our clients.
